| about us
What started as a hobby developed into a business and service to others.
Born in the backcountry of South America, I experienced my first slide show at age 8. I first heard about television when I was 12 years old. I saw my first film/movie when I was about 13. I watched my first TV show at the age of 19. My fascination with electricity & electronics started at a very early age.
With a move to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1967 a new era started for me, with the availability of more electronics, etc. I saw my first consumer video camera in 1980. My desire to own one became very strong. Then in 1986 I bought my first video camera, a Sony V-8.
Family videos became a reality. Friends benefited from it as well, as I was able to capture special events for them.
In 1987 I started volunteering as a cameraman with Delta Cable (DCTV) and went through their training program. I was a volunteer for 10 years.
Along the way I started offsetting my direct costs by charging a minimal fee for my services.
As more and more requests came in, I upgraded my camera to a Sony V5000. At this point I got more ambitious about doing videography and saw the possibility of developing it into a business in partnership with my wife, Erica. Her expertise in graphic design and creativity in camera work and post production have been a great asset to the business.
As time went on, we kept upgrading our equipment to the point of broadcast quality in 1999, complete with non-linear editing, DVD burning, duplications, etc.
Having the studio in our home allows for very reasonable rates & efficient service.
Looking forward to serving you.
